Indira Group of Institutes (IGI), Pune is a part of the
Shree Chanakya Education Society was started in the year 1994, with the

Course Description:
MCA course is a 3-year PG course. The course is designed to
develop high quality IT professionals to meet the ever changing industry
challenges and requirements.
MCA is a Post Graduation program having six semesters. The
syllabus of first semester is framed with the subjects that provide a base for
the rest of the semesters in an effective way to impart skills and knowledge
about the subjects. In second and third semesters, core Computer Science
subjects are introduced with programming practical labs.
MCA course involves the study of system management and
development system engineering application software internet management
information systems software development troubleshooting hardware technology
networking etc.
The basic objectives of an M.C.A. course are:
- To provide the country a steady stream of competent young men and women with necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to occupy positions of Software Industry and the government.
- To impart the students latest and relevant knowledge from the field of Computer Application theory and practice.
- To provide opportunities to the students for developing necessary managerial skills.
- To impart/ develop the right kind of values and attitude to function effectively in Managerial/ administrative positions.
Placement Cell:
The college has a dedicated placement/corporate cell that
takes care of grooming the students for placements and assist them towards
getting placed in the industry. The placement record of the college is

packages. Students find this placement assistance system extremely useful. The
placement cell is governed by the centralized placement cell of the Indira
Group of Institutes.
