BITM was started under the aegis of T.E.H.R.D. Trust, Bellary in the year 1997. The Institution is recognized by Govt. of Karnataka, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
BITM is designed to provide the best in terms of technical and management education, with the best of infrastructure and competent academic delivery. The college is located on a sprawling campus of 11.00 acres of greenery with an eco-friendly ambience for serious learning in an academic environment, with the top notch facilities that combine aesthetics with modernity, good hostel facility for both boys and girls and play ground facility.

BITM has a strong Governing Body, wherein the members are pooled from different professions like; academicians from IITs, Industrialists, Medical & Software professionals and Chartered Accountants.
BITMs greatest strength is its faculty, we have highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty with sound background of the subject and strong desire to keep pace with latest developments in their emerging fields. The special feature of our institution’s faculty is excellent teacher student relationship, rolling together intellectually and personally and study process to mould the students to develop their personality. Apart from this, the students are monitored, mentored, trained and guided by the dedicated faculty to meet the technological challenges of tomorrow.
The concerned member of the faculty interacts with the students and parents to understand the problem, depending on the problem the students are counseled.
