AMC Engineering College, Bangalore came into existence in
the year 1999. It was started under the management of Paramahamsa Foundation
Trust.
The institute is recognized by and associated to
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. With the approval of the
Government of Karnataka and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),
New Delhi.
The College offers technical courses that lead to Bachelor’s
degree in various branches of engineering.

MCA Course Details:
AMC Engineering College offers full time MCA. The objective
of this program is to bridge the gap in the industry by providing strong
technical skilled professionals and, thus meeting the requirements of modern
technology based industries. Career options include as Software Developer,
Software Engineer, Team Leader, Project Leader, and Project Manager.
MCA is a three – year Post Graduation program having six
semesters. The syllabus of first semester is framed with the subjects that
provide a base for the rest of the semesters in an effective way to impart
skills and knowledge about the subjects. In second and third semesters, core
Computer Science subjects are introduced with programming practical labs.
In the fourth and fifth semesters, students can select two
elective papers out of five in each semester along with five core subjects and
two practical labs. Sixth semester comprises of project work in the area of
students’ interest on any application development as required by any internship
supported organization while implementing the needs of the clients.

Duration:
MCA degree shall extend over a period of three academic
years with six semesters.
Eligibility:
- General Merit Candidates should have any Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks.
- SC/ST Candidates should have any Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 45% marks.
- Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Business Management/Computer Application/Computer Programming is compulsory at 10+2 or PUC or at degree level.
- Students score card of PGCET/KMAT should be submitted at the time of admission.
Admission Procedure:
The MCA program prepares students to take up positions as
system analysts, systems designers, Programmers and managers in any field
related to information technology. The program, therefore, aims at imparting
comprehensive knowledge with equal emphasis on theory and practice.
The MCA students are encouraged to spend a full semester
working in the industry in the institute giving them insight into the workings
of the IT world. However, the course curriculum will have enough flexibility to
enable a student to undertake advance studies in computer science later on.
Documents required at the time of Admission:
- SSLC or 10th Standard or its equivalent marks card (Original)
- PUC or +2 or its equivalent marks card (Original)
- All 3 year marks statement of Bachelor’s degree
- Provisional degree certificate from the college last attended or degree certificate from the University
- Caste certificate (Original)
- Income certificate (Original)
- Transfer Certificate (Original)
- Migration certificate from the university where the degree was completed
- Physical Fitness certificate from any Regd. Medical Practitioner (Original)
- 3 Passport size and 1 stamp size colour photographs.
- Passport size parents photo 2 each.
- Further, the students so admitted in our Institution should invariably possess at least five sets of xerox copies of all the documents mentioned above along with 10 passport and 10 stamp size colour photographs. (Three sets of Xerox copies has to be produced at the time of admission)
- The students belonging to SC/ST and other categories should submit xerox copies of caste certificate, income certificate while applying for students scholarships.
