Course Description:
The Department of MCA, which was started in the academic
year 2001-02, has excellent infrastructure in terms of digital classrooms, a
dedicated MCA Library and a centrally air- conditioned & networked computer
laboratory.
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a Three-Year
Six-Semester Post-Graduate Program affiliated to Vishveshwaraya Technological
University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka, India and approved by All India Council
of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The objective of this program is to produce IT professionals
who is excel in the field of computer applications development and are sought
after by different sectors of industry, business, government, etc. The network
is supported by various state of art servers, such as Web, Mail, DNS etc. Seminars,
Contests, Short-term courses and continuous Education Programs are conducted
regularly for students and staff.
It offers a thorough living and learning experience through

- The department of MCA conducts a series of training and placement programs for the students. The various training program includes:
- Technical trainings are given to the 3rd and 4th semester students (Minimum 40 hrs /Semester). Certification examinations (CCNA, ORACLE, JAVA, TESTING, MCP etc.) have been conducted after completion of successful training programs. Certificates awarded for the students.
- Written and Spoken English classes are conducted for MCA 1st and 2nd semester students (Minimum 26 hrs/Semester) and Trained with Globarena Software. Students are also evaluated at the end of the semester.
- Soft skills trainings are given to the students in all the semesters (Minimum 30 hrs/Semester).
- Aptitude trainings are given to the 4th and 5th semester students (Minimum 30 hrs/Semester) and evaluated at the end of respective semester.

Eligibility-
Applicants must have passed 3 years bachelor’s degree in any
discipline from any recognized university with minimum of 50% marks in
aggregate( 45% marks in case of Karnataka SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates) of all
subjects including languages.
Must have studied mathematics/business
mathematics/statistics/computer science/computer applications/computer
programming as one of optional/elective subjects. If not studied in degree must
have passed one of the subjects in the PUC/10+2 equivalents.

PGCET\KMAT Candidates selected through Karnataka CET can
report to the admission department of the college directly after counselling
along with all the necessary documents.
Candidates joining through management quota can visit the
admission department with all the necessary documents for verification and
further admission procedure follows.
